Managing Technology, People, and Relationships
I've had good fortune my entire life, born into a loving family, and blessed with three incredible children of my own. On top of that, I've had a career that has brought me challenge, growth, and an abundance of colleagues and friends. I spent the first 17 years of my career as a software developer at IBM and Diners Club, Intl. and the past 10 years as an IT Manager at Sun Microsystems. Technology has always fascinated me.
My success, thus far, has primarily been due to relationships. By working with others, I've learned the importance of mutual respect, continual growth and learning, and of always keeping a positive attitude.
Web 2.0 and social networking tools allow us to tap into the minds and form relationships with people around the globe -- anyone, anytime, anywhere! How absolutely incredible to live at a time where this is possible.
Thanks to the power of the internet and networking with IT industry experts, I was able to land a job as a Site Editor for SearchSoftwareQuality.com at TechTarget. I'm very excited about this new opportunity which will allow me to combine my interests in IT, social media, writing. At the same time I'll continue to build relationships with people that share my passions! How cool is that?
I also enjoy writing about love and relationships. I'm the Boulder Dating Advice Columnist on examiner.com, have written a humor memor about dating at an older age, The Laptop Dancer Diaries, and have an active blog, Lessons of Love.
